The recalled bracelets, sold at Walmart stores across the country between March and May 2025 for approximately $2, contain button cell batteries that are not adequately secured. Children can easily access and remove the batteries, posing a potentially fatal risk if swallowed. Ingesting button batteries can lead to severe internal injuries, chemical burns, or death. Though there has been one reported incident involving a battery detachment, no injuries have been confirmed to date.
Consumers are being urged to stop using the affected bracelets immediately and to keep them away from children. The manufacturer, Innovative Designs LLC of New York, is offering full refunds. To obtain the refund, purchasers must email a photograph of the disposed product to info@innovativenyc.com. The bracelets involved in the recall are models 718508MCR and 718075MCR and were available in pink and green colors, each with the “MINECRAFT” logo and containing three pre-installed button cell batteries.

This action reinforces broader federal enforcement of battery safety in children’s products, particularly under the requirements that button cell batteries must be inaccessible to children. Federal law prohibits reselling any recalled item. Consumers are advised to dispose of the batteries in accordance with local hazardous waste regulations. For further assistance, residents can also contact the Consumer Product Safety Commission via their website or hotline.
