The products under recall include 8-count, 20-count, and 40-count cartons of RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches, as well as a 20-count RITZ Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Pack. The impacted items were distributed across the United States and feature “Best When Used By” dates between November 1–9, 2025, and January 2–22, 2026, depending on the product and manufacturing plant code. Although the outer cartons are labeled correctly with peanut allergen warnings, the individual packs inside may be mislabeled as cheese.
The recall was triggered by a packaging error tied to a defective film roll provided by a supplier. No injuries or allergic reactions have been reported so far, but Mondelēz initiated the recall as a precautionary measure. The company is working to prevent recurrence by implementing corrective actions at its manufacturing facilities.
