NASA will hold a series of press briefings on July 10 to preview the launch of SpaceX’s Crew-11 mission to the International Space Station, which is scheduled for late July or early August. The Crew-11 mission will include four crew members from NASA, JAXA, and Roscosmos: Zena Cardman, Mike Fincke, Kimiya Yui, and Oleg Platonov. They will travel aboard SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft, launching from Falcon 9’s Launch Complex 39A. A 12 p.m. EDT overview briefing will feature NASA and SpaceX mission leadership, followed by a 2 p.m. crew news conference and 3 p.m. individual interview opportunities. All briefings will stream live on NASA’s YouTube channel.
Media interested in attending in person must notify NASA’s Johnson Space Center by July 7 at 5 p.m., while remote participants must confirm by 9:45 a.m. on the day of the event. Virtual interview requests with crew members are also due by July 7 at 5 p.m. These briefings serve as the final public interaction with the astronauts before their departure for the launch site.

The mission marks the first spaceflight for both Zena Cardman, a Virginia native with a background in geobiology, and Oleg Platonov, a Roscosmos cosmonaut with engineering and military aviation experience. Veteran astronaut Mike Fincke returns for his fourth mission, while Kimiya Yui, representing JAXA, will make his second visit to the orbiting laboratory. Once aboard the ISS, the team will contribute to a range of scientific experiments and international cooperation in space operations.
NASA continues to emphasize the importance of public engagement and transparency in its Commercial Crew Program as it expands international collaboration in space exploration. Updates about the mission and coverage plans can be found on the agency’s official website.
