Menon will travel to the space station aboard the Russian Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft, launching from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan alongside cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina. Once aboard, the crew will work together on scientific experiments and demonstrations that support future long-duration missions to the Moon and Mars, while also contributing to improvements in life on Earth.

This assignment marks a major milestone in Menon’s career. After being selected as a NASA astronaut in 2021 and graduating with the 23rd astronaut class in 2024, he began preparing for this mission. Menon brings a wide range of experience to the expedition, including his service as SpaceX’s first flight surgeon and his continued work in emergency medicine.
