A Chambersburg police officer has achieved a rare milestone in the law enforcement community. Bietsch was one of 239 law enforcement professionals selected for the 10-week program, which focuses on advanced instruction in communication, leadership, and physical training. Fewer than one percent of officers in the United States are chosen for the academy, and candidates must demonstrate a strong professional track record to be considered. The program is known for preparing officers to take on more significant leadership responsibilities within their departments.
The 294th session drew participants from 48 states, the District of Columbia, and included officers from 14 countries, six military branches, and four federal civilian agencies. Bietsch’s graduation places him among an international network of law enforcement leaders trained to take on the evolving challenges in public safety.
