Ford Motor Company has issued two separate safety recalls affecting a small number of vehicles due to potential defects that could increase the risk of fire or loss of vehicle control. Both recalls were submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on May 9, 2025, and involve 2024–2025 model year vehicles.

In one recall, identified by NHTSA as 25V-306, five 2025 Ford F-Super Duty trucks may be equipped with cracked fuel return line connectors. The defect, caused by misalignment during a tooling fixture changeover at a supplier’s facility, could result in fuel leakage. If leaked fuel contacts hot engine surfaces, the risk of fire increases significantly. Owners may notice a fuel odor or an illuminated check engine light. Ford will replace the fuel return line assemblies free of charge, and notification letters are expected to be mailed between May 19 and May 23.
In a separate recall, labeled 25V-308, three Ford Bronco vehicles from the 2024 and 2025 model years may have front lower control arm nuts that were not torqued to specification. This could cause the control arm to detach from the frame, leading to a potential loss of vehicle control. The issue originated at the Michigan Assembly Plant when post-repair torque checks were not properly completed. Ford is advising owners not to drive the affected vehicles and to coordinate towing to a dealership for inspection and repair at no cost.

Ford has stated that there have been no reports of accidents or injuries linked to either recall as of early May 2025. The company is offering reimbursement for related repairs that owners may have paid for out of pocket prior to receiving official notification. Both recalls reflect a continued emphasis on early detection of manufacturing inconsistencies and prompt corrective action.
