The recalled pumpkin seeds are packaged in clear plastic bags and labeled with lot number L250320200. An expiration date of May 2, 2027, is printed on the side of the packaging. The product was pulled from the market following a related recall issued by a foreign supplier, which raised concerns about possible contamination during the production process.

Salmonella infection can lead to severe illness, especially in young children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In more severe cases, the bacteria may spread to the bloodstream, potentially causing conditions such as endocarditis or infected aneurysms.
