Nearly 1.85 million SharkNinja Foodi Multi-Function Pressure Cookers are being recalled across the United States due to a potentially serious burn hazard. The affected products, sold between January 2019 and March 2025, have a design flaw that allows the pressure-cooking lid to open during use, releasing hot contents and resulting in reported injuries, including second- and third-degree burns.

The recall includes 12 specific models in the OP300 series, such as OP301, OP302, OP305, and OP350CO. Each unit has a 6.5-quart capacity, comes in black, and features the brand name “Ninja” on the front. The defect also extends to separately purchased replacement pressure cooker lids for these models. Consumers are urged to stop using the pressure-cooking function immediately but may continue using other features, such as air frying. SharkNinja is offering free replacement lids to remedy the issue.
At least 106 injury reports have been submitted, with more than 50 involving severe burns. Twenty-six lawsuits have been filed related to the malfunction. The recalled units were sold at major retailers including Walmart, Target, Costco, and Amazon, typically priced around $200. An estimated 184,240 additional units were sold in Canada.
