A Cleveland man has been sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl in Ohio County, West Virginia. The sentencing follows a multi-agency investigation that uncovered the man’s involvement in distributing drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, from a Wheeling Island apartment.

Antonio D. Moncrief, 35, also known by the alias “Tone,” received a 71-month sentence from U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey. Law enforcement officials linked Moncrief to narcotics activity centered at a North Front Street residence, where authorities seized 107 fentanyl pills in addition to other controlled substances.
Following his incarceration, Moncrief will be subject to three years of supervised release. The Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, supported through HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) funding, led the investigation that resulted in the conviction.
