The recall applies specifically to Baseus 65W 30000mAh portable chargers, model number BS-30KP365. Affected units have serial numbers ending in the digits 0 through 9 or the letter “D.” The chargers, available in black and white, have “65w” printed on the front, and identifying information can be found on a label at the bottom of the unit. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately.

Baseus has reported 76 incidents involving the recalled chargers. Among them are 72 cases of the battery bulging and four reports of fires, three of which led to property damage. There have been no reports of injuries. The firm is offering a free replacement charger, which will feature the same model number but a serial number ending in the letter “A.”

To obtain a replacement, consumers must submit a photo of the affected charger showing the model and serial number through the company’s online recall registration page. Customers without an order number are instructed to write their name and the current date on the charger in permanent marker before submitting the photo. Proof of proper disposal will also be required, in accordance with local hazardous waste guidelines. Improper disposal of recalled lithium-ion batteries in household or retail recycling bins is discouraged due to fire risks.
