A Bradford County man has been sentenced to more than 24 years in federal prison after being found guilty of producing child pornography involving two minor victims. The sentencing follows an investigation that revealed the exploitation occurred over several incidents in the summer of 2022.

On April 15, 2025, Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann sentenced 29-year-old Benjamin Wheeler to 292 months in prison. The court also ordered Wheeler to serve ten years of supervised release following his incarceration. Prosecutors stated that Wheeler coerced the minors into engaging in sexually explicit acts for the purpose of creating pornographic material, with the incidents taking place in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
The case was investigated jointly by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The prosecution was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin, who presented a victim impact statement on behalf of one of the families, highlighting the emotional toll the crime had taken.

The conviction and sentencing were part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative of the Department of Justice aimed at combating child sexual exploitation. Launched in 2006, the program brings together federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to identify and prosecute offenders and rescue child victims.
