Sara L. Jackson, 48, admitted to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine hydrochloride. Investigators say she worked alongside another individual to facilitate the drug trafficking operation. A search warrant executed during the investigation led to the discovery of approximately 1,300 grams of fentanyl and 788 grams of methamphetamine at a local apartment.

The case was investigated by the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative that focuses on high-intensity drug trafficking areas. The substances involved pose significant public health risks, particularly fentanyl, which is often linked to fatal overdoses. The drugs were intended for distribution in the community, with some fentanyl already pressed into pill form, further increasing the potential for misuse.
