The perpetrators have used improvised incendiary devices and firearms in the attacks, with some locations also defaced with graffiti expressing ideological opposition to individuals the vandals associate with racism, fascism, or political adversaries. The FBI notes that the offenders may view these actions as victimless property crimes, despite the potential for broader harm and legal consequences.
Authorities are urging the public to stay alert for any suspicious behavior near Tesla properties. Specific warning signs include individuals photographing security systems or guards, attempting to enter restricted areas, or openly discussing threats online against Tesla locations. To support ongoing investigations, the FBI encourages individuals to report any threats or suspicious activity to local law enforcement or directly to the agency. Emergency situations should be reported via 911, while non-emergency tips can be submitted through the FBI’s field offices or website.
