Consumers who purchased the recalled scooters from Walmart or Sam’s Club will receive an email with instructions on how to obtain a full refund. To properly dispose of the scooter, users should cut the throttle cord and follow local and state hazardous waste disposal procedures for lithium-ion batteries. These batteries must not be thrown in the trash or placed in standard battery recycling bins.
Swagtron, the Indiana-based manufacturer, has not responded to requests from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding this recall.
