Meredith Dominick has officially assumed the role of Chief of Police for the Chambersburg Police Department after serving as Interim Chief since December 2024. She was sworn in on February 17, 2025, by Mayor Hock in a ceremony attended by friends, family, and members of the community. Dominick brings decades of law enforcement experience to the position, having served in various capacities since beginning her career in 1986.

Dominick started her law enforcement career with the Montgomery County Police Department, where she held patrol and supervisory roles before retiring. Following her retirement, she transitioned into academia, teaching criminal justice at Hagerstown Community College. From 2019 to 2021, she served as the Chief of Police for the Borough of Shippensburg before joining the Chambersburg Police Department in 2021 as an Inspector overseeing administrative functions.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University. With her appointment as Chief, Dominick aims to continue strengthening the department’s service to the Chambersburg community.
