Lieutenant Kacie Strong of the Frederick Police Department has successfully graduated from the highly regarded School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) at Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety. Completing the rigorous 22-week program, which ran from May 13 to October 13, 2024, LT. Strong has further strengthened her leadership skills and expanded her expertise in law enforcement management.

A member of the Frederick Police Department’s Command Staff, LT. Strong has played a pivotal role in advancing women in leadership within the department. She has served in a senior leadership position for two years and currently oversees the department’s training and personnel units. Her responsibilities include ensuring that officers receive high-quality training and professional development, a role that is further enhanced by her successful completion of the SPSC program.

The School of Police Staff and Command provides advanced education in areas such as leadership, human resources, organizational behavior, employee relations, resource allocation, and applied statistics. As part of Class #576, LT. Strong was one of 24 students from across the U.S. and internationally, completing rigorous coursework, exams, projects, presentations, and a comprehensive staff study paper.
