Owners of affected vehicles will be instructed to limit charging to a maximum of 80% state of charge until the remedy is available. The recall fix involves updating the battery management system software, which will be performed at authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships at no cost to owners. Dealer notifications are set to begin on February 7, 2025, with owner notifications expected before April 1, 2025. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that no warranty claims or service reports related to this issue have been recorded in the U.S.
