Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday evening in Frederick County, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old from Walkersville. The incident, which took place on Woodsboro Creagerstown Road, involved a motorcycle collision followed by a secondary impact with a car.

Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 10 p.m., where they found Ryan Baldwin had been struck and killed. According to preliminary findings, Baldwin was traveling eastbound on a motorcycle when he lost control, hit a guardrail, and was subsequently struck by a Mitsubishi. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene. The driver of the Mitsubishi was uninjured and remained on-site as the investigation unfolded.
The Maryland State Police are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Investigators are working to determine the factors that led to Baldwin losing control of his motorcycle prior to the fatal collision.
