Bresnick was taken into custody at approximately 6:10 AM on January 3 at 182 Buchanan Trail following an intensive investigation by the Chambersburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. He faces charges of criminal homicide related to the December 18 shooting that claimed the life of Rakeem Floyd. The incident, which took place in a public shopping area, prompted a high-priority manhunt for Bresnick, who was considered armed and dangerous.
The investigation culminated in Bresnick’s arrest with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police McConnellsburg Barracks and SERT. Officials credited tips from the public, submitted via Crimewatch, with aiding in the successful location of the suspect.
