Cornhole Tournament to Benefit Local Girl with Ewing Sarcoma

WILLIAMSPORT, MD News (9/14/2022) – On Saturday, September 17th from 11:30 AM to 5 PM, the Williamsport Redman will host a cornhole tournament to benefit a local girl named Evangeline who is currently fighting Ewing Sarcoma, a rare cancer that occurs in the bones or in the soft tissue around the bones.

Ewing sarcoma most often forms in the bones of the legs, arms, feet, hands, chest, pelvis, spine, or skull. Less often, it forms in the soft tissue of the trunk, arms, legs, head, neck, retroperitoneum (area in the back of the abdomen behind the tissue that lines the abdominal wall and covers most of the organs in the abdomen), or other areas. Ewing sarcoma is most common in adolescents and young adults (teens through mid-20s).

For an entry fee of only $15, those who are 18 and older will be able to participate in the tournament. The event will also feature 50/50 drawings, raffles, and a cash bar.

Donations can also be dropped off to the Williamsport Redman in envelopes marked for Evangeline.
