County Park Playgrounds to Receive Upgrades

Washington County Parks and Recreation has announced that many County parks will be receiving an upgrade to playground equipment this spring. Upon advent to many County parks, you may notice the playground equipment is no more there. This is temporary, as new equipment has been ordered. The County is expecting the installation of new equipment. The following County parks will be receiving a playground upgrade this spring:

-Camp Harding Park (Big Pool)
-Chestnut Grove Park (Keedysville)
-Clear Spring Park (Clear Spring)
-Marty Snook Park – Little League Field and Pavilion 4(Hagerstown)
-Pen Mar Park (Cascade)

While the playground equipment at the parks listed above is being substituted, the County recommends giving a visit to two parks that currently received an upgrade to their playground equipment:

-Regional Park (Hagerstown)
-Marty’s Mythical Woods at Marty Snook Park (Hagerstown)

This new playground equipment is being funded through a grant from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as part of the Local Parks and Playground Infrastructure.
