The affected ice cream was sold at all Stewart’s Shops locations across New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Consumers who purchased these specific flavors between July 17, 2026, and October 2, 2026, are advised that their product may be impacted. The specific flavors involved are Heavenly Medley with a “Best By” date of February 10, 2027, and Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry with a “Best By” date of February 11, 2027. Both are packaged in half-gallon paperboard cartons. The company has stated that the recall was prompted after a consumer discovered a metal object in a carton of ice cream.
To date, no injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with this issue. Stewart’s Shop Corp. is urging customers who have purchased the recalled ice cream not to consume it. Instead, customers are instructed to return the product to any Stewart’s Shops location to receive a full refund.
