Franklin County, PA – Young residents of Franklin County and their families are invited to a free Halloween celebration hosted by local law enforcement and first responders. The annual Trunk or Treat event, coordinated by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, aims to foster positive interactions between the community and those who serve in public safety roles. Organizations interested in participating in this year’s event are invited to contact Gage Yeager via email at gayeager@franklincountypa.gov. For those wishing to contribute to the festivities, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting donations of sealed, individually packaged candy. These donations are crucial for the distribution to young attendees during the event. Candy contributions can be delivered to the Sheriff’s Office at 14 N. Main St., Chambersburg, during regular business hours. The deadline for candy donations is October 26, allowing sufficient time for preparation before the event.
