According to information from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Johnson engaged in the distribution of methamphetamine between March 19, 2024, and April 17, 2024. During this period, he sold more than 200 grams of pure methamphetamine to an undercover Pennsylvania State Police Trooper. This criminal activity took place while Johnson was already serving a term of federal supervised release. He had previously been convicted of heroin trafficking, which had resulted in a five-year prison sentence. The methamphetamine distribution charges are separate from the supervised release violation, and a hearing is still pending to determine any additional imprisonment that may be imposed due to his violation of the terms of his release.
The investigation into Johnson’s drug trafficking activities was a collaborative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police. The prosecution of the case was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Jenny P. Roberts. The sentence of 180 months reflects the severity of the drug trafficking offenses and the defendant’s disregard for his previous probationary terms. Residents in communities impacted by drug trafficking can be assured that federal and state law enforcement agencies are actively working to dismantle these operations. This sentencing underscores the commitment to prosecuting individuals involved in the distribution of dangerous substances like methamphetamine.
