Preparations for the 70th annual NORAD Tracks Santa program are well underway, with the official website set to launch on December 1st. This digital portal, available in nine languages, will feature “Santa’s North Pole Village,” complete with a holiday countdown, interactive games, a movie theater, festive music, and an online store. Complementing the website, the official NORAD Tracks Santa mobile application will be available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, allowing users to follow the pre-flight countdown on their devices. The program will also extend its reach through various digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X, as well as through partnerships with Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM, and OnStar.
On Christmas Eve, individuals around the world will have the opportunity to inquire about Santa’s whereabouts by calling 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723) between 4 a.m. and midnight Mountain Standard Time. Live operators will be available to answer questions. For those without access to a phone, NORAD is introducing a web-based calling option directly from the NORADSanta.org website. This initiative aims to ensure that all children can connect with the NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center. Furthermore, virtual translation services will be available to support communication in over 200 languages through the call center. After midnight MST, the interactive voice response system will continue to provide updates on Santa’s flight until 3 a.m. on December 25th for those who call or visit the website. The NORAD Tracks Santa initiative is a collaborative effort, with contributions from numerous organizations and entities enabling this global experience.
