The recalled tutu skirts, designed for children aged two through eight, were sold on Amazon by Bmrwtg. They feature LED lights that illuminate silver circles and stars on the skirts, which are available in pink, purple, yellow, red, blue, green, white, and black. The hazard stems from the battery compartments, which contain lithium coin batteries that are easily accessible to young children. Crucially, these skirts lack the required warnings mandated by Reese’s Law. When a child swallows a coin or button cell battery, it can lead to severe internal chemical burns and, in the most tragic cases, death. While no incidents or injuries have been reported to date, the potential for harm is substantial.
Consumers who purchased these skirts are urged to immediately cease using them. The product should be taken away from children, and the batteries should be removed and disposed of properly according to local hazardous waste guidelines. Bmrwtg is offering a full refund to affected customers. To qualify for the refund, consumers must cut the skirt to render it unusable and then submit a photograph of the destroyed garment in the trash to bmrwtgrecall@outlook.com. The recalled skirts were sold on Amazon between March 2025 and August 2025 for approximately $10 each. The manufacturer, Bmrwtg, is based in China.
