The individual, identified as Donnie Woods, aged 45, of Northridge, California, admitted to participating in the conspiracy between July 2020 and April 2021. During this period, Woods worked with others to distribute significant amounts of fentanyl in the central Pennsylvania region. In April 2021, law enforcement officials in Pennsylvania intercepted two packages originating from California and addressed to a residence in York, Pennsylvania. These packages collectively contained nearly four kilograms of fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid. The investigation into Woods’s activities was a collaborative effort involving the Drug Enforcement Administration, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Carlo D. Marchioli handled the prosecution of the case. This sentencing is part of broader federal initiatives aimed at combating drug trafficking and its impact on communities.
