The contract, titled Western Regional Architect-Engineer Services, is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement. It tasks the selected companies with projects ranging from new construction to repair and maintenance at facilities such as NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley and Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California. The agreement also allows for these firms to provide backup support at other NASA centers and federal partner locations if needed.
The seven awarded firms include: DYNOTEC-KZF JV LLC (Columbus, OH), Merrick-IMEG JV LLP and G Squared Design (both in Colorado), Kal Architects Inc. and AECOM Technical Services Inc. (California), S3 LLC (Washington), and Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Arlington, VA). While most of the contracted work will be concentrated in California, the inclusion of companies from outside the state reflects NASA’s strategy to draw from a nationwide pool of engineering expertise.
