Seven firms have been selected by NASA to provide architectural and engineering support across multiple agency sites, with work largely focused in California. The contract, titled Western Regional Architect-Engineer Services, is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement. It tasks the selected companies with projects ranging from new construction to repair and maintenance at facilities such as NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley and Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California. The agreement also allows for these firms to provide backup support at other NASA centers and federal partner locations if needed.

The seven awarded firms include: DYNOTEC-KZF JV LLC (Columbus, OH), Merrick-IMEG JV LLP and G Squared Design (both in Colorado), Kal Architects Inc. and AECOM Technical Services Inc. (California), S3 LLC (Washington), and Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Arlington, VA). While most of the contracted work will be concentrated in California, the inclusion of companies from outside the state reflects NASA’s strategy to draw from a nationwide pool of engineering expertise.

In addition to work at Ames and Armstrong, support may extend to facilities such as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex at Fort Irwin, and NASA-related operations at Vandenberg Space Force Base. These projects aim to enhance the infrastructure supporting NASA’s research and development missions, space exploration initiatives, and inter-agency collaborations.
