Residents who purchased Vevor single post handrails are being urged to stop using them immediately due to a manufacturing defect that could result in injury. The recall, announced on June 26, 2025, affects about 360 units of wrought iron handrails sold for one- or two-step stairs through major online retailers. Customers are eligible for a full refund and must either return the product or provide proof of disposal.

The issue stems from weak welds that can break when weight is applied, particularly during stair use. At least five incidents have been reported, including one case involving a head injury. The handrails were available in black, white, and silver, and were sold under various model numbers. All feature the brand name “Vevor” near the bottom of the unit, with identifying model numbers on the product packaging.
Consumers who purchased these handrails between February 2020 and November 2024 from sites such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Vevor.com are affected. Prices ranged from $57 to $109. Sanven Technology, the distributor operating as Vevor and based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, is contacting all known buyers directly.
