We know you value local news and entertainment that is free, open, and independent. Producing high-quality, paywall-free content isn't free. It takes time, effort, and resources to keep you informed and entertained. Unlike corporate media, we don’t have deep-pocketed investors or big advertisers funding our work—we rely on you, our readers and listeners, to keep Radio Free Hub City running. We're literally running on a shoe-string budget, but keep working hard to provide as much news and entertainment as we can.
If just 5% of local area residents became paid supporters at only $5 per month, we could meet our fundraising goals and continue expanding our news coverage depth while continuing to provide free access for everyone. So, if you'd like to help us in our continuing quest to improve our coverage, please consider becoming a paying supporter.
Will you be one of the 5%?

Each Monday at 2:00 pm, elementary-aged readers are invited to the Makerspace for United Way Storytime (July 7, 14, 21, 28). Volunteers will guide participants through chapters of The Area 51 Files, supplemented by themed activities that bring each segment to life. While the program runs through June 16–July 28, registration is required and spaces are limited, so parents should call (717) 762-3335 or sign up in person.
Wednesdays at 11:00 am welcome PreK–5 children to Garden Party Storytime (July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30), a drop-in series celebrating a new natural theme each week. Highlights include Forest Friends, a visit from Waynesboro Fire Department for Sea Fun, Purple Mountains Majesty with Miss Mary Anne, Arctic Tundra Polar Rescue, and a lunar exploration during Black Holes and Deep Space week—no registration needed.

While other outlets focus on getting quotes from politicians who don't even live in our congressional district, we're focused on providing the hard-hitting truths and facts without political spin. We don't lock our news behind a paywall, will you help us keep it that way? If you're tired of news sweetened with confirmation bias, consider becoming a monthly supporter. But if you're not, that's fine too—we're confident in our mission and will be here if you decide you're ready for the truth. Just $5/month helps fund our local reporting, live election night coverage, and more.

On Tuesday, July 8, the library hosts Little Antietam Creek, Inc., for elementary (2:00–3:00 pm) and teen (4:00–5:00 pm) sessions. Young historians will examine artifacts and hear stories from the local dig in Waynesboro, making this a must-see event for budding archaeologists.
Teens ages 12–18 can also dive into creative and practical skills this month. On July 1 (12:00–2:00 pm), Do Art Productions leads a Comic Book Workshop—registration is required. Then, on July 15 (4:00–5:00 pm), 1st Ed. Credit Union’s Doug Harmon returns to demystify budgeting and answer financial literacy questions, empowering teens to manage money with confidence.
