A batch of children’s hair accessories sold exclusively online is being pulled from the market due to safety concerns. The Dlesot Snap Hair Clips, distributed by the company YFLGOTOO and sold via Amazon, have been recalled after testing revealed that the paint used on the metal clips contains lead levels exceeding the federal limit. The clips, which were manufactured in China, pose a serious health risk to children if ingested, particularly due to the dangers associated with lead poisoning.

The recall affects approximately 3,800 units of the hair clips, which were available for purchase between April and September 2024 at a price of around $10. Each product came in a multipack of 120 clips in assorted colors and patterns, measuring roughly 1.2 inches. The clips were packaged in a plastic container with a white label that includes the FNSKU number “X00RCTBRH” and indicates the product was made in China.

No injuries or adverse incidents have been reported as of the recall date, May 1, 2025. However, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warns that exposure to lead, especially in children, can lead to serious and sometimes irreversible health problems. The recall was initiated in accordance with federal regulations banning the use of lead in paint on consumer products intended for children.
