Chambersburg police made two arrests in early March involving separate criminal incidents, including a domestic disturbance and a DUI-related accident. Marvin Duran, 41, was taken into custody on March 2 following a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of the Chambersburg Police Department. The investigation revealed that Duran had followed the victim throughout the Borough of Chambersburg, eventually leading the victim to seek help at the police station. Once there, Duran used his vehicle to block the victim’s exit repeatedly. He was arrested and charged with one count of stalking and one count of false imprisonment before being transported to the Franklin County Jail.

The following day, March 3, police arrested 23-year-old Dony Nerdilio Perez-Ruiz after responding to a vehicle accident where Perez-Ruiz was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Authorities determined he was unable to safely operate the vehicle, leading to his arrest on DUI charges. Perez-Ruiz was also wanted on an existing bench warrant for failing to appear at a scheduled hearing related to a previous DUI charge issued on April 8, 2024. He was taken to the Franklin County Jail to await arraignment on both the warrant and new charges.
